when joining marathons I don't usually bring my mp3 player, it can be dangerous. But if it means just running around for a few miles then I bring it with me, I personally like Jack Jonhson,(relaxing!!)

I really love to ear music while I am jogging. It helps me to focus. I don't feel tired even if I have been jogging for hours as long as I hear music. I think it really helps joggers like me it makes jogging lighter and more entertaining experience rather than exhausting.

Music is my fuel when I run our 3 km Avenue, It helps me focus my attention to running, it also helps me ignore tiredness especially when I play the song It's my Life by Bon Jovi.

I also love to run while I listen to music. Sometimes it feels like it increases my stamina. It takes the stress away even if I have run for like miles already.

I do bring my i-pod when I'm running or jogging around the block especially when I'm alone. It makes me feel more relaxed. But I know some people who really do not like music while running. I asked them why and they told me they want to experience new things around them and they won't be able to that with music. Oh well, different people have different likes and dislikes..

Listening to music while I am running has been m habit for almost a year now. I can never imagine myself running without my ipod. I don't feel tired when I listen to the music. Sometimes I don't notice the time that has passed by when I am running and that is because of my ipod... LOLZ

Running while listening to music? i don't think so, especially when you're on public. What if somebody is calling you, and there's a tendency you can't hear that. I mean when running you must focus on the grounds and people around. well, thats for me! Keep Safe!

I just started cross country and I always listen to my ipod, but I've heard that you are not supossed to have one at meets. I find it difficult to run without it. Does anyone know a fairly painless way to sufficently distract myself without music?
Thanks
