I've been running for about 5mos now, and still can't get rid of the pain and blisters on my ankles including on the side of my big toe. I was thinking that it's bec. of my running style so I went to a shop and got a gait analysis. I found out, it's due to my pronating ankle.
I got myself a pair of trainers to lessen which will supposedly stop the pronation, but unfortunately I still get blisters and pain.
Can you suggest some other ways to correct this pronation?

I sympathize with you , I heard that there are stretching exercises to correct this pronation, changing your footwear can also reduce stress on the tendon.

warming up and stretching before running can help lessen your ankle pain, you can try doing the calf stretches to make your calf stronger.

Warming up is the only thing that can help you so don't forget to do that. If it still doesn't work for you then cut some kms on your running course maybe you are tiring yourself too much and that is not healthy for your body.

yes warming up will be a good help. I also agree that you might have to change your foot ware. The type of foot ware you use while you are running should be carefully taken care of. You should make sure that you are really comfortable with what you are wearing. Injuries could happen because of lack of attention given to this little details.

I think you should really watch for your running style. Some people are running and dragging their feet when they run instead of really lifting it. Dragging your heels can cause pain and a lot of injury to any parts of your foot. Yes you should really try to be picky when it comes to your running shoes. Choose one that fits you best.
