I just started running about 3 months ago, I’m a
big guy and tip the scales at 245 pounds, I am finding that if I run
more than 4 days a week I experience really bad knee problems. My friend
started using something called Kangoo Jumps a few morths ago, and he
swears by them. I am thinking about getting a pair, but
they cost about $200 to $300 bucks. My friend is trying to tell me that I
won’t need to buy any running shoes after I get them because they cut
down on 80% of the impact to my body and that I will be able to run
every day if Ii use them. They best deal that I found on them is at a
site called Http://LowImpactRunner.com I
would really love some advice from someone other than my friend.
Preferably from someone that has used them before! This is a picture of
them, the ones that my friend bought:

Yes- they are great. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with a torn minuscus and was prescribed to mot run for 6 months. After 3 months I couldnt take it anymore and found kangoo Jumps on the net . I started using them daily and after a few months I was able to run again. Now I use them every 3rd run/jog to take it easy on the knees . yesterday I jogged for 2.5 hrs and today my knees are fine.

My advice is do not run more than four days a week.Rest of the body is equally important.Outside help like shoes may be of little help.
Also impotant is your mental state.Enjoy running.Be there, just in the lap of nature.

Thanks for the responses, I am going to order a pair of them right away, I guess i just needed reassurance form someone other then my friend that has been using them that the money is well spent! I'm going to order them today!

I would also like to thank you for your response, I understand your comment about the " mental state" And i deferentially agree with you! I am going to cut back to 4 days a week for the next month or 2 and see how things go
This is actual the first time that i have used a forum like this, Its pretty cool that you get fast responses like this! I will have to try it more!

Warsh 101,you are welcome. It,to a large extent, depends on your mental state. For me running is always a meditation.I go with that mental state, after taking bath,as if i am going in the lap of Divinity. And that is excellent spiritual experience.
Then, one can as well run without moving a leg with excellent results .Read my post about Mental running.
