hi gabrielle, I guess running and walking are both fantastic exercises, each has its benefits. But if we'll be talking about intensity, running is def better, coz basically you have to walk for about an hour to get the same weight-loss benefit of a half hour run. :)

I think it'll still be up to you, choose the exercise which will make you feel comfy. Either ways, you'll get most benefit if you aim for 30-60 min. a day, goodluck on your decision!

Well if you'll be considering the injury, walking has an edge over running, since it's a low impact exercise generally it has lower risk of injury.

I think walking and running can bring same results but of course it depends upon the intensity of your work out. The more it becomes tiring the more calories burned out. Try doing both. If you feel like your too tired to jog then just walk for a while. If you feel like you are up for jogging then do it. Doing both ways will work out just fine and will bring greater results! Happy walking and jogging!

I agree with the things that the posters above pointed out. It really depends on you or to the situation you are in.
As for me I do both, running and walking. Every morning I do some running in our neighborhood and be walking on my way home. It is fun doing this especially if you are with your friends.

If you have some injuries, ailments, etc. it will be better if you'll just walk (than never walk ever gain for the rest of your life) but if you know for yourself that your physically fit then it means that your fit to run... Walking or running depends on the status of ones body.

you can do it both ways. but of course running will burn more because your body consumes more calories to convert into energy. It will also depend on what results you want to see. If you think you need to loose so much then you should really dig in to the more tiring one but if you think you should just maintain your figure then the normal walking would just do the job provided you are into a balance diet.

depends on your goal. if you just wanna stay fit or simply
be healthy, walking may be enough. but if you really wanna lose weight, running
will give you results faster

set your goals first. Both ways can burn calories but of course running is more effecient in burning extra calories. If you think you need to burn a lot of extra fats then go for running. If you think you are already fit and just want to keep yourself healthy then ordinary walking will do.

I do both. If i feel exhausted already i slow down and I walk but only for a while. After i have regain my energy then I run again. Of course you have to have a goal so you would know what to do and on what levels you should do it.

I think you should really run. If you get tired then that's the time you walk. after catching your breath and then jog again. Especially if you really want to loose lots of extra fats then you really should opt to run than walk.
