Tips for starting a running program

Wear comfortable shoes that fit properly and cotton or wool socks to absorb perspiration

Choose a time of day when it is not too warm and  you have not just eaten

Start out slowly. try walking for 10 to 20 minutes four times  a week

Increase your workout

Pay attention to any pain, shortness of breath that you may feel during running. Stop if any of these symptoms occur. Discuss these symptoms with your health care provider before exercising again.

Practice pranayam before  you strat running. It will add to your stamina and endurance.
As far as possible run early in the morning. That is the best period(Sandhya,as they call it in scripture),and that time you get lot of oxigen.
Start with twenty steps,if necessary. But must enjoy every step that  you take.
