Running Disciplines and Classifications

Running as a sport can be divided in several ways. In this site, it is divided according to its different levels and the different events involved in this sport. As with any kind of activity, we understand that different people have different needs in terms of equipment and skill when it comes to running. Aside from Running itself, the different Running events require different sets of skills involved as well as specific features on gear. For instance, Trail Running Shoes need to provide better traction while a sprinter needs a pair of shoes that are light enough while supporting his or her feet.

Also, there are different types of runners divided according to gender, age and level of experience. Each of them has different needs, at least in terms of diet, skills involved and equipment. Like for example, a beginner can start out with just his or her usual pair of pants, a cotton shirt and running shoes. Meanwhile, as the runner progresses, he or she has to make adjustments to the level he or she is in now. An example of this is in the case of marathoners. They need clothes that wick away sweat from their body and a pair of shoes that would give them the best performance.
