Clissold Emerges on Top in Auckland Marathon
  Clissold Emerges on Top in Auckland Marathon Tracey Clissold has won her third Auckland Marathon title last Sunday. Clocking in at two hours, 50 minutes, and 47 seconds, Clissold was followed by Melanie Burke after 10 1/2 minutes. "Today was an experiment to see how the injury would hold up and whether I still had a marathon in me", said Clissold. Clissold had an Achilles tendon surgery last December. Clissold intends to join

Runner in the Marine Corps Dies after Collapsing
  Runner in the Marine Corps Dies after Collapsing A runner from the Marine Corps Marathon, Earl Seyford, died yesterday afternoon after collapsing during the race. Seyford collapsed at about 12:20 pm just before Mile 17 of the 26.2 mile course. He was brought to Washington Hospital Center. Seyford was pronounced dead at about 1:10 pm. According to a D.C. police, he could have suffered from what seemed to be a heart attack or stroke.

  34 year-old Mother Qualifies for 2008 Olympics A 34 year old mother of two becomes the face of the marathon in Virginia.
