Clissold Emerges on Top in Auckland Marathon

Tracey Clissold has won her third Auckland Marathon title last Sunday.

Clocking in at two hours, 50 minutes, and 47 seconds, Clissold was followed by Melanie Burke after 10 1/2 minutes. "Today was an experiment to see how the injury would hold up and whether I still had a marathon in me", said Clissold. Clissold had an Achilles tendon surgery last December.

Clissold intends to join the Gold Coast marathon next year and plans to clock in at 2 hours and 42 minutes.
