The Mississippi Coast Marathon Winners
MONDAY, 27 NOVEMBER 2006
Five hundred runners participated in the Mississippi Coast Marathon at the Stennis Space Center. Kevin Tscholl and Megan Carlson were the winners for the Men and Women's Division.
Runners from thirty different states joined in the 16th annual Coast Marathon last Saturday. Kevin Tscholl, a native of Ohio, won with a time of 2:52:22 beating the runner-up by thirteen minutes. It was his first time to compete for the marathon and was happy about the result. He is also thrilled about earning a spot in the Boston Marathon which automatically goes to the winner with a qualifying time.
On the other hand, in the Women's division, the Kansas City resident Megan Carlson win with a time of 3:31:38 whose victory was about eighteen minutes ahead of the runner up and her goal is to run a marathon in all fifty states.
