Two Thousand Women Run for Life
MONDAY, 25 JUNE 2007
Two thousand women joined the Race for Life at Heythrop Park yesterday. The 5 kilometer race was organized by Rosannah Dawood in order to raise 154 thousand pounds for the Cancer Research UK.
Aside from the race itself runners also had to suffer through the rain and traffic. But according to Dawood everyone was in high spirits. She also added that nobody minded the wet weather nor the delay due to traffic since it was all for a good cause.
Most of the participants joined the race in order to show their support for cancer patients or to remember their love ones who lost their lives to cancer.
