Woman Runs Marathon to Raise Funds for Cancer

A local resident from Midwest City is getting ready to run for a marathon in order to save funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Leesha Call is scheduled to participate in the upcoming 26.2 miles marathon on September 16 in Maui.
Call is currently works as a medical social worker at OU Medical Center Children's Hospital. After witnessing first-hand the vital role the Society played in helping the patients and their families to overcome the disease, Call made the decision to take part an active part in aiding the society's cause.
At present aside from training, Call is also actively for supporters for the fundraiser, calling on friends, family as well as local businesses.
