Sweet Corn Festival 5K

Join Central Iowa's hottest road race: Sweet Corn Festival 5K. This year's event on August 11, 2007 will precede the Sweet Corn Festival's Parade and Festival. The last half mile of the 5K will be run on the parade route in front of thousands of spectators. This event is open to all runners and walkers.
The purpose of this festival is to help provide life changing opportunities and camp programs for at-risk and disadvantaged children through Wildwood Hills Ranch and also to celebrate the Adel Sweet Corn Festival.
The race will begin at 8 am. It will start at Adel-Desoto-Minburn High, winds through the streets and city park of Adel, and hits the bike trail before finishing at the Adel Middle School. For those looking to run a fast time, the course is relatively flat and, with the crowd awaiting you at the finish, it is a perfect setting for a personal record.Bring your whole family and enjoy this festival.
