Scotiabank MarathonKIDS to get Expert Tips

Five days in advance of the Scotiabank Toronto
Waterfront Marathon, a group of Scotiabank MarathonKIDS from Grenoble Public
School will train with Canadian Elite Athletes Danny Kassap and Ryan Day, and
celebrity runner Michal "The Joggler" Kapral following the Daily Physical
Activity exercises with the entire school. On Sunday, September 30, the
Scotiabank MarathonKIDS will complete the final five kilometers of a full
marathon they have been running intervals of since the start of the school
year.

1:55 p.m. Daily Physical Activity starts with guest athletes and
entire student body of Grenoble Public School in the school yard.
2:10 p.m. Scotiabank MarathonKIDS officially start training with
guest athletes.
Why: The Scotiabank MarathonKIDS program promotes a healthy and active
lifestyle from a young age while providing them with the
opportunity to increase their level of physical activity while
focusing on reaching a goal. The program was developed in 2006 and
since then the number of participating students has doubled.
