Redmond & Bellevue's First Outdoor Fitness Camp

TUESDAY, 19 FEBRUARY 2008

Redmond, WA (PR.com) - Fitness Boot Camps are the latest phenomenon in the modern world of health and fitness. Many people prefer to go to fitness boot camps rather than to gyms. Why? Boot camps offer power-filled, calorie-blasting workouts that take just an hour. This is perfect timing for today’s busy lifestyle. And you can’t beat the change of workout scenery and fresh, crisp outdoor air. Four weeks of fitness instruction are provided by Certified Personal Trainers.

It’s a cure for the sweaty gym smell and go-nowhere treadmill workouts.

Core Personal Training Boot Camps offer a unique approach to exercise. "Our philosophy blends supervised fitness training with the motivation and accountability of a group setting," says Jennifer Mager Bell, owner of Core Personal Training. "We’ve combined the latest in exercise science with old-school circuit training, making an ever-changing and exciting workout experience."

Core Personal Training Boot Camps adapt to all ages and levels of fitness, from beginner, to on-again off-again, to advanced. Core instructors meet participants at their current fitness level and challenge them to reach their personal best. If injuries prohibit certain routines, adjustments are made to meet individual needs. Participants are never asked to perform more than they are capable of doing, but are pushed to give one hundred percent, which varies from person to person. "Our boot camp classes are not designed to compete with other participants," says Mager Bell. "Instructors provide incentive and encouragement for each person to compete for his or her personal best."

Men and women of all ages and abilities are invited to participate. Program intensity is increased each week. Specific exercises include speed walking, yoga, Pilates, short-distance running (less than one mile), calisthenics, jumping rope, push-ups and more.

The first Core Personal Training Boot Camps will begin on March 10, 2008 and will be held at Redmond Ridge Park and Marymoor Park. Camps run for one hour per day either three days per week or five days per week for four consecutive weeks. Three-day camps meet at Redmond Ridge Park and Marymoor Park from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. Five-day camps meet at Redmond Ridge Park from 8:00 am - 9:00 am and Marymoor Park from 9:00 am - 10:00 am. Average camp cost is $14.95/hour for five-days/week camps and $18.33/hour for three-days/week camps. Interested participants are encouraged to sign up early. Each camp is limited to 20 and is expected to fill quickly. Register at www.corepersonalfitness.com or call 425-894-6894.
