Alaska 10K Classic Road Race to be Held on Aug. 2

The 23rd Alaska 10K Classic Road Race, one of the longest running races in Alaska, will be held at the APU Moseley Sports Center on Saturday, August 2. This is for the benefit of the Special Olympics Alaska which will be hosted by Peak Performers Track Club.
There will also be a youth relay race happening at the Alaska 10K, open to elementary and high school students. Two entrants to the youth relay race must run or walk five kilometers in order to achieve the required 10 kilometers. Participants who are active military personnel have the chance to win at least $100 in cash, with 15 military winners to be drawn.
Entry fees are at $25 per entrant, and $15 for entrants of the youth relay. Awarding and drawing of cash prizes will be held at 11:30am at the Delaney Parkstrip. Awards will be given to the top three male and female winners of each age group category.
